What did you learn from watching TV?

It's starting to get dark here in Sweden and the temperature is not that warm either. So what will you do in a small, rainy, and dark town? You start thinking about indoor entertainment, one of which is watching TV. Today you will hear about some movies and TV shows I have enjoyed during my life and what I learned from them.

Emily in Paris (2020~) opened my eyes to how much I love drinking Italian wines together with my wife and talking about life. Other than getting me very excited to travel to Paris the drama also teaches us how proud we are of our own home country. It's also very easy to talk down on the other culture until the day the new country is a part of you.

Sex and the city (1998~)

Another drama I really enjoy watching with my wife. I would say my lesson here is that girls are awesome and in many cases, I rather deal with a girl than a man.

"Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free. Until they find someone, just as wild to run with."
~ Carrie Bradshaw

I had to bring up Chuck (2007~). I don't know what to say, but it's nerdy, fun, and just good entertainment.

August Rush (2007)

Music, love, and a family story in the heart of New York. Truly one of my favorites, it teaches us that if you have a superpower. Use it to make the world a little better!

When it comes to myself I would say that Entourage, Sense8, Californication, The Mentalist, and White Collar are my favorite TV shows. Could probably write a whole post about every one of them. When It's coming to movies I like action/comedies. A superhero movie now and then use to slink through too. This time of year Harry Potter is high on the list too.

Entourage teaches us how important friendship is. Californication gives us hope about how strong the love can be between, husband, wife, and child. The Mentalist and White collar give us a glimpse of what you can do if you never stop training your brain. Sense8 is just a well-made show that shows beautiful scenery in many countries.

After living five years in Japan it would be unfair not to bring up any anime. Sword art online and Bleach are two animes that I enjoyed. When I was a kid and watching anime like Pokemon and YU-GI-OH. I thought that anime just was for kids, but in Japan, I learned that it's not the case. One Movie I would recommend watching is The boy and the beast. I could probably not live with myself if I didn't name Studio Ghibli.

Happy Watching & Thank You.
