Thoughts About Health

I probably writing this post trying to motivate me to exercise more. Because I have already gained 4 kilos since I arrived in Sweden, and something has to change.

So how should we turn this around?

  • Motivation -> books, podcasts, documentaries, or a movie. From that decide if you want this or not.
  • Get rid of all crappy foods at home and don't buy anything new
  • Make sure you have healthy snacks at home e.g fruits, berries, and, nuts.
  • Make a plan for your exercises
    ->Daily Walk/Run/Activate your body
    -> Shorter workout like Pilates, yoga, or a stretch.
    -> 2-3 days a week a little more intense, where you get a sweat going.

Sometimes things show up, babies, injuries, your best friend brings over a pizza and a bag of chips. Giving yourself some slack is not a problem, as long you heading in the right direction. Be careful of the now it's already too late effect. Just because you ordered a pizza on Friday night, you keep going all weekend with fast food and snacks. Be strong, and choose what is right for you.

Health is a balance of everything in your life. How you eat, how you sit and walk. How you breathe and how you think about the world around you. Start somewhere and take small steps. I have read about many different pillars of health. I use to ask myself what is true health for me and then write it down on paper. After that write what I have to do, to become that.

Some examples of areas to have in mind: Mind health, Physical health, Community/Social, Financial health, Soul health, Nutrition, and Sleep.

If you can feel truly grateful for your glass of water in the morning, then I am sure you can stay without food until lunch. So far that's the best way I know to get back to your normal weight after you bounce off the tracks (a minimum of 16-hour water fasting).

I think most of us have a good idea about how we can better our health, but why is it so damn hard?

Let us borrow T. Harv Eker's quote: "Where attention goes, energy flows and result shows." We just don't focus enough on it, so it is really important to embrace the lifestyle and see yourself as a healthy person from this day forward.

Look around and see what the healthiest people in your life are doing. Do your research, but don't forget to take action. Because a healthy life is a life worth living.

Thank you.
